The Monticello Recreation Department’s mission is to foster a lifetime of appreciation and involvement in recreation and wellness for the community and region, contributing to the physical, social, intellectual and cultural development of those served.
Funding will be received through the Monticello Recreation Foundation a 501C3. The Monticello Recreation Foundation was created by the City of Monticello in 2012 as a separate entity and is a registered 501(c)3 not-for-profit organization. The mission of the Monticello Recreation Foundation is to assist in securing financial and philanthropic support for the Monticello Parks and Recreation Department and promote awareness of the benefits of all recreation to the community.
